Honda ties up with SELEV, 'Study of Extremely Low Emission
Vehicles', a Riverside program hosted by the University of
California, which shows the advantage of upgrading the internal
combustion engine technology in the reduction of vehicle
emissions. Several years ago, this reduction to some level has
been conceived impossible but due to the advancements in
technology nowadays everything is made possible and tangible to
some extent.
Two years ago, this program has been launched primarily for ...

Goodwill Industries was brought to Arkansas in 1927 by Charles E. Moyer, Mayor of Little Rock. A year later, Dr. Edgar J. The American love affair for the automobile began shortly after Henry Ford rolled out his legendary Model T in 1908. The passion has never died. While this is evident in the number of new makes and models produced each year, the proof is also found in the many classic and vintage car museums found throughout the United States. Just about every region of the country has its own classic car museum where old models are put on display likes works of art for people to marvel at. The following is ...

The Goodwill Industries of Kentucky was established in 1923 by Reverend John L. Fort. That was nearly a century ago now and it has helped countless people to change their lives for the better. In all that time the organization has seen many changes too, especially in the types of donation they receive. Back when Goodwill Industries was introduced to Kentucky, only the rich could afford motor cars so vehicle donation was unheard of.Goodwill Industries now has 55 donation centers in Kentucky and ...

It's the most wonderful time of the year. As we deck the halls
and fill the malls, we're filled with anticipation, joy, and
excitement. The holiday season is upon us, and it's a special
time we choose to show our appreciation and share our love with
the special people in our lives. However, with all of the joy
the holidays bring, this still tends to be one of the most
stressful times of the year. Why?
Could it be because it's intoxicating to buy loved ones whatever
their hearts desire ' and ...

Think Like MacGyver! Unleash Your Own Super Genius By Frank F.

Sometimes it is really difficult to find the positive side of a
challenge confronting us. When dealing with adversity - a career
setback, the ending of a long-time relationship or the illness
of a child - it's hard to believe there is a sunny side or a
silver lining to this experience. But history is full of people
who found possibilities through adversity. Reflecting on ...

Today's fast paced life often puts every one of us in difficult
situations where stress and anxiety dominate our day. The
frequency and complexity of problems that arise and need to be
dealt with weakens both our minds and our bodies, making us
incapable of finding the right solutions. There are several ways
to improve your power of concentration and to learn how to relax
your mind and prepare it for future struggles. Your body
responds to what your mind dictates, but most of the times it

'That which is responsible for one's thoughts and feelings; the
seat of the faculty of reason'
The mind is an immeasurable wonder. It has the fantastic ability
to transmute your desires into their physical counterparts. You
can do anything that your mind can conceive, as long as you have
the belief and will power to back it up.
Take the case of cancer patients who were given placebo pills.
These are just plain pills that have no healing capabilities. So
how did they get well?
The power came ...

I don't know anyone who isn't riveted on the Gulf Coast
situation and the devastation of New Orleans, deeply concerned,
thinking and praying for the survivors, the ones who didn't
survive, the helpers, and those who have loved ones not
accounted for.
I do know individuals who are handling it differently.
Perhaps exchanges such as one I saw today are going on in your
office. When Marta walked in, with her usual big smile on her
face, she asked Amanda, 'Do you have plans for Labor Day?' ...

I've always loved the movies where someone says, "Synchronize
watches!" A team of heroes would have to split up to do their
individual jobs, but to complete their common mission
successfully, they had to work in synchronicity. I think I must
have enjoyed that so much, because somewhere inside me I knew,
even as a kid, that that's how it is for all of us.
First documented in the academic world by the psychoanalyst Carl
Jung in 1928, synchronicity is the occurrence of coincidences
(events ...

When we think about giving from our wealth, most of us think of
giving financially. However, there are other ways of giving from
our wealth. Some of those ways are right in front of us every
day. The following are some examples to consider:
1. Clothing. Clean out your closets and drawers of all clothing
that is either too small or too large to fit you. Also, get out
any clothing that you have not worn for a long time. Donate
those clothes to a charity or church that will reuse the clothes
or ...

The 2006 model year will end the heralded Taurus name and for
this writer it is a bittersweet time as Ford retires what once
the best selling car in all of America.
When Ford introduced the Taurus along with its cousin the
Mercury Sable in the mid 1980s the car represented a radical
departure from the standard American car of the day. Fairly
large, front wheel drive, and very aerodynamic, the Taurus
quickly rose to the pinnacle of the American car sales charts
and was the best selling car for ...
